Dear Parents & Guardians,

Thank you for visiting my blog and spending time with your children to click on links and explore what we have been up to in class from day to day!

The students are working well in every subject, and I especially see a great interest in Science and Math! Everyone encourages each other and lends a helping hand. I must say this class works very well together and I think we may be seeing the future David Suzuki and Albert Einstein!

As you know we are almost through our Science and technology unit - Life Systems! The students are putting the finishing touches on their reports and I cannot wait for you to see them!  I am so proud of them :)
Next week is our big trip to TooGood Pond in Unionville! we will be discovering organisms, habitats and much more, live!
Thank you to all parents who have volunteered to come with us that day!

Math has been challenging, fun, and full of new adventures.  The students are always looking for new ways, new technology to use to solve their math problems!  We are working through the unit of Measurement, and exploring surface area! Students have really been excelling and enjoying using the Nets to create pyramids! You can print your own and build them together at home to solve the surface area.

Next week, an update on Language, Art and Social Studies!

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement.
***Please remember you may access the Ontario curriculum documents on the Parent's Corner section of this blog to look up any strand and expectation that your child is discovering!

Sincerely,
Ms. Seguin
